QA Automation Engineer
About the Role
Quality at TechSaaS is not a phase — it is built into every step of development. We need a QA Automation Engineer who can design and maintain comprehensive test suites that catch bugs before they reach production across our 36+ product portfolio.
You will build end-to-end testing frameworks using Playwright and Cypress, API test suites with Jest, and performance test harnesses for our high-traffic services. You will also champion quality practices across the engineering team.
This role suits someone who thinks systematically about failure modes, enjoys breaking things to make them stronger, and can write code that tests code.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications
- Write end-to-end tests using Playwright or Cypress for critical user flows
- Build API test suites covering functional, integration, and performance scenarios
- Set up and maintain CI/CD test pipelines that run on every pull request
- Perform security testing and vulnerability assessments using automated tools
- Create test data management strategies and environment provisioning scripts
- Track quality metrics and report on test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness
What We Are Looking For
- Strong proficiency in test automation with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium
- Programming skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python for test code
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks (Postman, REST-assured, SuperTest)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration with GitHub/Gitea Actions
- Knowledge of testing methodologies: BDD, TDD, risk-based testing
- Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, or Artillery)
- Strong analytical skills and systematic approach to problem decomposition
Nice to Have
- Experience with container-based test environments using Docker
- Knowledge of security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Trivy, Snyk)
- Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks (Detox, Appium)
- Experience with visual regression testing
