Cloud Architect
About the Role
TechSaaS operates a unique hybrid infrastructure: self-hosted Proxmox clusters with GPU acceleration alongside cloud services from AWS, GCP, and Cloudflare. We need a Cloud Architect who can design systems that are resilient, cost-effective, and secure across this hybrid landscape.
You will architect solutions for our clients and internal products, making technology choices that balance performance, cost, and operational complexity. You will work with everything from bare-metal Linux to serverless functions, and your decisions will directly impact our ability to scale.
This is a senior role that requires deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider, strong opinions about infrastructure design, and the ability to communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Design hybrid cloud architectures combining self-hosted and public cloud infrastructure
- Define infrastructure standards, security policies, and operational procedures
- Evaluate and select technology stacks for new client projects and internal products
- Lead capacity planning and cost optimization across all infrastructure
- Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Mentor engineering team members on cloud-native patterns and best practices
- Create technical proposals and architecture documentation for client projects
What We Are Looking For
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong experience with containerization, orchestration, and microservices patterns
- Understanding of networking at scale: load balancing, CDN, DNS, and VPN design
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of security best practices: IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks
- Track record of designing systems that handle production workloads at scale
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to Have
- Experience with self-hosted infrastructure (Proxmox, bare-metal Linux)
- Familiarity with Cloudflare ecosystem (Tunnels, Zero Trust, Workers, R2)
- Knowledge of GPU infrastructure for AI/ML workloads
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent certification
